I’m Having Trouble Gaining Weight While Eating Healthy…any Good Diet Tips?

I’m 5′5″ and used to be 140. Then I started eating really healthy as in a TON of fruits and vegetables, no sugars, no fatty meats, etcetera as well as regularly exercising. I absolutely love how I feel and would never want to stop being healthy, yet I don’t want to lose any weight. Unfortunately I lost over 20 pounds very quickly and am having trouble not losing anymore than that. I’d like to get back to about 125 to 130, but maintain a good healthy eating plan. Any suggestions?

when u say no sugars. you are really consuming plenty of sugar from all the fruits but its fine. try eating more protein, or just eating more of what ur eating now. Try drinking a protein shake before you go sleep, that will help put on some healthy weight

First, have you checked this out with your doctor. You want to make sure that your weightloss is diet related and rule out other potential causes.
If eating healthy is the reason you lost weight, then I’m jealous.
There are some good fats that our body needs, we can find these in natural foods. Try to add lots of protein to your diet.
I’m gonna give you a list of foods that you probably already eat
    beans,
    edamame (soy beans),
    lentils,
    legumes (peanuts)
    FISH,
    dairy,
    cheese
    all very good for you.
Here are some foods that have the good types of fat, eating these instead of junk food is a plus.
Nuts!!! (almonds, cashews, pistacchios, macadamia, you name it)
there’s almond spread instead of peanut butter that’s really good.
Soy products, (soymilk, tofu, tempeh, again edamame).
    Coconut,
    avocado
If you can eat dairy, then change to whole milk, eat lots of cheese (swiss is a good source for vitamin B12), yogurt.
As for meats, I’d still keep them on the low but seafood is very good for you.
Hope you got some ideas from that.
Also, do you workout ? Maybe you have to find out how much calories you have to eat in order to gain and then maintain your weight. There is a formula called Harris Benedict that can help you figure out how many cals you have to eat.

    good luck

5′5 and 120 is a good weight. Why would you want to gain weight? Anyway, just add more calories but make them healthy calories. You could also switch to whole milk instead of skim, if your stomach can handle that.
